La Guinguette de Neuilly – Terrace

The Guinguette

The atmospheric Guinguette de Neuilly, with its typical red and white checked tablecloth and traditional bistro cuisine is quintessentially French. This former boathouse on the Ile de la Jatte features two large terraces set in green surroundings. They provide a fresh and cool refuge by the river during the hot summer months, and are covered and heated during the winter to provide comfortable outdoor dining in all seasons.

The restaurant with its bistro décor, old-fashioned stove and red benches, has retained all the charm of the historic building it is set in, and offers a warm and cosy atmosphere for indoor dining. We are open 7 days a week from noon to 2 pm and from 7.30pm to 10.30pm. Valet parking is available.

Our History

This historic island, which was a source of inspiration for numerous Impressionists, offers a leafy escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. In the 1900’s it was a small industrial centre with its factories, printing businesses, guinguettes and boat houses; later in the 20th century factories started to close and the island became more residential.

La Guinguette de Neuilly, a café where boaters would gather for a drink or to share a meal, has retained the soul and character of these bygone times. Discover the rustic charm of a typical French Guinguette and sample delicious and authentic French bistro cuisine.
